Position Overview:

As a Manufacturing Engineer at Montana Knife Company, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our production processes, ensuring quality control, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise in production manufacturing and process improvement will be vital in helping us maintain our standards of excellence while increasing efficiency and reducing waste.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes and workflows to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal output.
  • Design and oversee the implementation of new production equipment and tooling.
  • Lead the development of factory-wide quality control systems.
  • Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and propose actionable solutions.
  • Train and mentor production staff on best practices, safety protocols, and quality control measures.
  • Stay current with industry trends and technologies to drive innovation within the manufacturing processes.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related role, preferably in a production machining environment.
    • Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) 
    • Experience implementing and upholding quality control procedures in production
    • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with production automation
    • Experience with Fanuc industrial robotics
