Named after the town at the base of the Rocky Mountain Front, where the plains run straight into the mountains and where the weather is anything but gentle. This is the jacket for people who work outside even when the weather turns, wrench on equipment in unheated shops, and need a layer that holds up to both without changing clothes before heading to town.
The Augusta handles morning ranch work, afternoon shop duty, and evening beers at the local bar without missing a beat. Water-resistant soft-shell cuts the wind and sheds snow but insulated enough to keep you warm while moving cattle or stacking hay, but breathable to let you work without overheating. Matte-nylon lining slides on easy over whatever you're wearing. Two-way front zipper, adjustable cuffs, and a sleeve pocket that fits your phone, keys, you name it. I had high hopes for my first apparel from MKC knowing their quality standards on their knives. I was NOT disappointed. I did have to size up because it is a more fitted design, but fits wonderfully. Very high quality materials and the inside liner is so soft it is very comfortable to wear even with a T-shirt. I haven't worked in it yet, but the outer fabric feels very rugged thick. Blocks wind, light rain, and snow like a champ! Worth every penny!! For reference I'm 6'4, 300lb, and 38/39 length arms.

This is a very comfortable jacket. The interior is very soft. The fit is great as well. Im 6'2, 235 and the jacket has enough room to layer if needed. Very happy

The Augusta Jacket is a terrific coat. I have worn it extensively since purchasing it. I was able to use it for the tail end of winter, two hours from the Canadian border. It’s warm, light weight, comfortable, has plenty of pockets and it looks good. The cost was reasonable and it has the added bonus of having the MKC logo. I couldn’t be more happy with this purchase.
