Professional hunting guide Aron Snyder lives for hunting sheep, goats, and other big game deep in the backcountry. When he approached us about collaborating on a design, we jumped at the opportunity. The result is the Jackstone, reflecting Aaron’s passion for the traditional Canadian belt knife.

Its lightweight build and utilitarian shape makes the Jackstone ideal for multi-day backcountry trips. The distinct leaf-shaped blade provides enough belly for skinning while maintaining a super strong tip capable of more demanding tasks. The distinct leaf shape provides a strong tip and plenty of belly for detailed work — ideal for hunters and outdoorsmen. 

The drop point tip adds tremendous strength while maintaining utility. It’s built to withstand the most rugged backcountry tasks.
Ergonomic Grip

The integrated guard provides added safety and control for skinning and detail work, ensuring fingers don’t ride up onto the blade.

The textured jimping along the spine offers added traction and allows your thumb to lock in for leverage during strenuous cutting.
Stonewash MagnaCut Steel

We finished the premium MagnaCut steel in a low-glare stonewash texture that hides wear and improves scratch-resistance.

As a cryogenically heat-treated stainless steel, MagnaCut provides the perfect blend of toughness, edge retention, and corrosion resistance. Unlike other stainless steel blades, MagnaCut can be easily resharpened — even by novice knife owners.

More wear-resistant than other stainless steels, and more corrosion-resistant than carbon steel, MagnaCut is in a class of its own.

Bulletproof G-10 Handle

The G-10 handle scales are equally as tough as the blade. G-10 is famous for being strong, durable, and stable — unmatched by any natural handle material. It won’t absorb blood and provides superior grip… even when wet and bloody.

Three hollows are cut into the handle to decrease weight and allow for maximum epoxy bonding before screws and high-strength Loctite secure the perfect fit.

New Jackstone

Very pleased with this knife. Thin edge, I like thin. It will cut well. When I sharpened it, it took a nice edge. I like the angle between the blade and handle. It exposes the back half of the edge to what you’re cutting. The handle, while it may look odd, fits nicely in the hand. It is going to work great.

Only one problem....I have to wait months to use it....:)

You Get What You Pay For

I wanted a small fixed blade knife for skinning deer. I originally bought a cheaper knife from a competitor, very similar, magnacut, and American made like MKC knives. The first deer I skinned with it I cut my hand because it didn't have a protective tang. So I went with the MKC Jackstone this time, and I love it. Everything about this knife is better, from the packaging to build quality. It is worth the extra cost in my opinion, I just wish I would have gone with MKC from the start.
