STOCKYARD - GREY

I’ve carried the Montana Knife Company Stockyard as part of my daily EDC rotation, and it has seriously impressed me. The first thing that stood out was just how sharp it came out of the box — and even after daily use, the edge retention has been outstanding. It still slices cleanly and confidently without needing constant touch-ups.

The Stockyard hits a great balance between practical size, solid ergonomics, and premium feel. Whether it’s opening boxes, cutting cord, or general day-to-day tasks, it performs effortlessly.

A funky little knife with a big blade. Blade, blade shape, and everything around the top part of the knife are fantastic. The handle... I don't know. It feels small. If I am trying to use all 5 fingers to hold it, it is WAY too small. BUT, if you are slicing, opening boxes, or just about anything else, and choke up on the knife, it is perfect. The 2 grooves for the fingers at the choil are fantastic. The grind on this knife is pretty great for EDC, not scary sharp like some of the other MKC knives I own, but it works great for everything I do.

This is my second Stockyard knife, I liked it so much I bought another. All for the same reasons, I like the style, size and shape. As always it's sharp OTB, fits my hand great. Have not had a chance to use this one outside yet but soon. Thank you MKC!
